Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) When a deed of grant over the whole or a part of Aurukun Shire lease land or Mornington Shire lease land takes effect under section 32, the lease granted to the relevant council under the Local Government (Aboriginal Lands) Act 1978 is cancelled, to the extent of the deed of grant, by operation of this section.
(2) To allay any doubt, if a lease is cancelled only in relation to part of the land, a reference in the Local Government (Aboriginal Lands) Act 1978 to the demised land is a reference to the remaining part of the land.
