Right to remove improvements if lease forfeited or not renewed
141 Right to remove improvements if lease forfeited or not renewed
(1) If the lessor forfeits or decides not to renew a home ownership lease, the
lessor must allow the lessee to remove the lessee’s improvements on the
lease land within a reasonable period of at least 28 days decided by the
lessor.
(2) If the improvements are not removed within the period, they
become the property of the lessor.
