ANIMAL CARE AND PROTECTION ACT 2001 - SECT 96

96 Publication of draft monitoring program

(1) The chief executive must publish a notice of a draft monitoring program in a newspaper likely to be read by people in the State particularly affected by each compulsory code requirement or provision of the scientific code to which the draft program relates (the
"relevant code provisions" ).

(2) The notice must—

(a) identify the relevant code provisions; and

(b) state the following—

(i) where copies of the draft program may be inspected;

(ii) that any entity may comment about the draft program;

(iii) the period during which comments may be made.

(3) The notice may identify a compulsory code requirement by reference to the regulation under which the requirement is a compulsory code requirement.

(4) The stated period must be at least 28 days after the publication of the notice.

(5) A copy of the draft program must be available free, or on payment of a reasonable price, at the place, or each of the places, stated in the notice.
