26 Removal of cat’s claw
(1) A person, other than a veterinary surgeon, must not remove a cat’s claw.
Penalty— Maximum penalty—300 penalty units or 1 year’s
imprisonment.
(2) A veterinary surgeon must not remove a cat’s claw
unless the surgeon reasonably considers the removal is in the interests of the
cat’s welfare. Penalty— Maximum penalty—300 penalty units or 1
year’s imprisonment.
