Failure to comply with document production requirement
169 Failure to comply with document production requirement
(1) A person of whom a document production requirement has been made must
comply with the requirement unless the person has a reasonable excuse.
Penalty—
Maximum penalty—50 penalty units.
(2) It is a reasonable
excuse for an individual not to comply with a document production requirement
if complying with the requirement might tend to incriminate the person.
(3)
However, subsection (2) does not apply if the document is required to be held
or kept by the person under—
(a) this Act; or
(b) another Act or a law of
the Commonwealth or another State if the document relates to the
transportation of live animals.
