(1) To enable an animal or other thing to be seized, an inspector may direct
(a
"seizure direction" ) the person in charge, or owner or person in possession,
of it—
(a) to take it to a stated reasonable place or places by a stated
reasonable time or times; and
(b) if necessary, to remain in control of it at
the stated place for a reasonable time.
(a) must
be made by notice in the approved form; or
(b) if for any reason it is not
practicable to give notice in the approved form—may be made orally and
confirmed by notice in the approved form as soon as practicable.
