Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) The annual rent payable in respect of a lease provided for by section 9(2) shall be a sum equal to .5% of the amount of the annual general rate made and levied in respect of the land held under the lease by the indigenous council that is charged with the functions of local government in respect of the land.
(2) When at any time it is not possible to assess rent in accordance with subsection (1) in respect of a lease referred to therein, the rent payable in respect of the lease shall be a sum determined by the indigenous council charged with the functions of local government in respect of the land held under the lease until the rent can be assessed in accordance with subsection (1).
