Queensland Consolidated Acts Queensland Consolidated Acts(1) If a public record is a record of the State or a State instrumentality, ownership of the record vests in the State.
(2) Ownership of public records of another public authority vests in--
(a) if the records are in the authority's possession--the authority; or
(b) in any other case--the State.
(3) In this section--
State instrumentality means a public authority other than a local government.
