Explanatory Notes for Amendments to be
moved during consideration in detail by the
Honourable Kerry Shine MP Attorney-General
and Minister for Justice and Minister Assisting
the Premier in Western Queensland

Title of the Bill
Judicial Remuneration Bill 2007

Objectives of the Amendments
The amendment will correct a technical error in Clause 6 by altering the
percentage from 112.5 percent to 113.2 percent.

Achievement of the Objectives
The Bill achieves the objective by making amendments to the legislation
below.

Nil

Consistency with Fundamental Legislative Principles
The amendment is consistent with fundamental principles.

 


 

2 Judicial Remuneration Bill 2007 Notes on Provisions Amendment 1 amends Clause 6 in the Bill to correct a technical error by altering 112.5 percent to 113.2 percent. This preserves the current relativity of the salary and jurisprudential allowance of the Chief Justice against the benchmark amount for the financial year. © State of Queensland 2007
