Explanatory Notes for Amendment to be moved

Short title
The short title of the Bill is the Integrity Bill 2009.
Objectives of the amendment
The objective of the amendment is to rectify an oversight and include
Parliamentary Secretaries within the definition of `government
representative'.
Consistency with fundamental legislative principles
The amendment is consistent with fundamental legislative principles.
Notes on Provisions
Amendment 1 amends clause 44 to include Parliamentary Secretaries
within the definition of `government representative' and replace
subsequent paragraphs to effect the re-lettering of the clause.
