Erratum to Explanatory Notes
Reason for the Erratum
An error has been identified in the explanatory notes. The example to
clause 9 commencing at the bottom of page 5 and continuing on page 6 is
incorrect where it refers to the value of average weekly earnings.
It is important for the explanatory notes to be consistent with the Bill and
therefore, it is important that the error be corrected.
Accordingly the paragraph on pages 5 and 6 is to be corrected by inserting
the words "three times" in the sentence commencing in line 3 on page 6
after the word "If" and before "the" in order that the sentence reads as
follows:
"If three times the average weekly earnings per week at the time of
judgment total $120,000 per year, then the Court may award $120,000 per
year only, and not the $161,500."
