APPROPRIATION BILL (No. 2) 1994
EXPLANATORY NOTE
GENERAL OUTLINE
Objectives of the Legislation
The objective of this Bill is to formally appropriate supplementary
Supply for the services of the Crown in the 1993-94 financial year. The
Supply sought is in addition to the amounts authorised in Appropriation Act
(No.2) 1993.
The Bill is purely of a technical nature.
Reasons for the Bill
Supplementary Supply is required following approval by the Governor-
in-Council of additional expenditure incurred during the previous financial
year under Section 25 of the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977.
Estimated Cost for Government Implementation
Not applicable. This authority involves the Parliamentary approval of
supplementary appropriations for the 1993-94 financial year.
Consultation
The additional appropriation sought is based on the Statement of
Unforeseen Expenditure to be Appropriated 1993-94 which is prepared by
the Treasurer and certified by the Auditor-General in accordance with
section 25A of the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977.

NOTES ON PROVISIONS
Clause 1 sets out the short title of the Bill.
Clause 2 authorises the Treasurer to issue out of the public accounts, and
apply for supplementing services in the financial year that started on 1 July
1993, the sum of $650 645 000.
