Short
1. This Act may be cited as the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition 3
(Queensland) Authorisation Act 2000. 4

Definitions
2. In this Act-- 6
"Commonwealth Act" means the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition Act 7
1997 (Cwlth). 8
"principal Act" means the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition 9
(Queensland) Act 1999. 10

Authorisation
3. The Governor in Council is authorised for section 5 of the principal 12
Act to make, for the Commonwealth Act, section 43(1), a gazette notice in 13
the form stated in the schedule.1 14

Expiry
4. This Act expires when the principal Act expires.2 16

References to endorsing a proposed regulation
43.(1) For the purposes of this Part, a jurisdiction endorses a regulation if the
designated person for the jurisdiction publishes a notice in the official gazette of
the jurisdiction setting out and endorsing the terms of the regulation before it is
made.
2 Section 8 of the principal Act provides for its expiry.

Short title 7
1. This notice may be cited as the Trans-Tasman Mutual Recognition 8
(Queensland) Authorisation Notice (No. 1) 2000. 9
Endorsement of proposed Commonwealth regulations amending the 10
Commonwealth Act about energy efficiency labelling 11
2. The Governor in Council endorses the proposed Commonwealth 12
regulation, set out in schedule 1, to amend the Commonwealth Act in 13
relation to energy efficiency labelling. 14
Endorsement of proposed Commonwealth regulations amending the 15
Commonwealth Act in relation to South Australian legislation about 16
firearms and other prohibited or offensive weapons 17
3. The Governor in Council endorses the proposed Commonwealth 18
regulation, set out in schedule 2, to amend the Commonwealth Act in 19
relation to the Summary Offences Act 1953 (SA). 20
