`281.(1) The continuation of QESIESS under section 280 does not affect 18

approval day continue to be the assets and liabilities of the approved 21
industry superannuation scheme. 22
`(3) To remove doubt, stamp duty is not payable because of the operation 23
of subsection (2) or section 280. 24
`(4) On the approval day, all rights, entitlements and obligations of the 25
Queensland Electricity Supply Industry Superannuation Board (the 26
"Board") under contracts and arrangements between it and other persons 27
become the rights, entitlements and obligations of the trustee of the 28
approved industry superannuation scheme. 29

`(5) On the approval day, the Board ceases to exist and its members and 1
the trustees of the Queensland Electricity Supply Industry Employer-funded 2
Accumulations Superannuation Fund go out of office. 3
`(6) Subsection (5) does not prevent a member or trustee from being 4
appointed as a trustee of the approved industry superannuation scheme. 5
`(7) This section is a law to which the Acts Interpretation Act 1954, 6
section 20A applies. 7
`(8) This section expires on the approval day.'. 8

under Restoration Act 10
`281A.(1) This section applies if, immediately before the approval day, a 11
person has an amount of an entitlement in a fund created within QESIESS 12
under the Electricity Superannuation Restoration Act 1990 (the 13
"Restoration Act"), section 6(1)(b) . 14
`(2) On the approval day-- 15
(a) the amount in the fund for the person's entitlement, with interest 16
earned on the amount under the Restoration Act, section 17
6(1)(b)(ii) becomes part of the funds of the approved industry 18
superannuation scheme and is to be held in an account for the 19
person; and 20
(b) the person ceases to have the entitlement, the entitlement to the 21
interest earned on the amount under the Restoration Act, 22
section 6(1)(b)(ii) or any other entitlement under that Act; and 23
(c) the person has an entitlement in the approved industry 24
superannuation scheme to accrual of interest and payment of the 25
amount as if the amount had, immediately before the approval 26
day, been preserved under the Articles of the Queensland 27
Electricity Supply Industry Employees' Superannuation Scheme, 28
section 39(1)(b). 29
`(3) This section is a law to which the Acts Interpretation Act 1954, 30
section 20A applies. 31
`(4) This section expires on the approval day.'. 32
