The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1
1 Short title
Clause 2
This Act may be cited as the Retirement Villages (Proxy Voting) 3
Amendment Act 2004. 4
2 Act amended
Clause 5
This Act amends the Retirement Villages Act 1999. 6
3 Amendment of s 133 (Voting)
Clause 7
(1) Section 133(1), `a scheme operator or another resident of the 8
village'-- 9
omit, insert-- 10
`another person'. 11
(2) Section 133-- 12
insert-- 13
`(7) A person given power to vote for a resident at a residents meeting 14
under subsection (1) may attend the meeting-- 15
(a) to speak in relation to the resolutions to be voted on at the 16
meeting; and 17
(b) to vote on any resolution for which the resident has not cast a 18
postal vote.'. 19
