Clause 1. This Act may be cited as the Local Government Amendment Act 1995. 3

Clause 2. This Act amends the Local Government Act 1993. 5
of s 169 (General qualifications for membership) 6
Amendment
Clause 3. Section 169-- 7
insert-- 8
`(1A) To remove any doubt, it is declared that a person is not, and never 9
has been, disqualified from becoming a councillor for a division of a local 10
government area merely because the person lives in another division of the 11
area.'. 12
