The Liquor Act 1992 is amended as set out in this Act. 5

(d) establishing or continuing culturally appropriate detoxification 2
centres and other therapeutic facilities for persons suffering 3
problems from liquor consumption; or 4
(e) continuing and enhancing education and training in patron care; or 5

curricula of hospitality training courses.'. 7

`223. If, in a financial year, the balance to the credit of the Trust Fund 12
falls below $2 000 000, the Treasurer may, by order, pay into the Trust 13
Fund from the total amount of fees paid for all licences and permits 14

(a) one-sixteenth of the total; or 16
(b) if a lesser amount is enough to restore the balance to the credit of 17
the Trust Fund to $2 000 000--the lesser amount.'. 18

`250. This Act, as in force immediately before the commencement of the 6
Liquor Amendment Act (No. 2) 1993, continues to apply to a request to the 7
chief executive to accept the surrender of a general licence if, before the 8
commencement-- 9
(a) the request was received; and 10
(b) section 250 as then in force applied to the request; and 11
(c) matters under the Act about the request were not finalised.'. 12
