Liquor Amendment Bill 2004
The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1
Clause 1 Short title 2
This Act may be cited as the Liquor Amendment Act 2004. 3
Clause 2 Commencement 4
This Act commences on a day to be fixed by proclamation. 5
Clause 3 Act amended 6
This Act amends the Liquor Act 1992. 7
Clause 4 Amendment of s 4 (Definitions) 8
(1) Section 4-- 9
insert-- 10
`airport includes-- 11
(a) an aerodrome, airfield and landing strip; and 12
(b) another place used for the landing or parking of aircraft; 13
and 14
(c) a tarmac.'. 15
(2) Section 4, definition public place, paragraph (b)-- 16
omit, insert-- 17
`(b) an airport; or 18
(c) a vehicle, boat or aircraft that is in or on a place 19
mentioned in paragraph (a) or (b).'. 20

`(1) A restricted area permit authorises the permittee to have in 1
possession in a public place in a restricted area more than the 2
prescribed quantity of liquor for the area-- 3
(a) at the times and on the day or days, and for the purpose, 4
stated in the permit; or 5
(b) during the period, of not more than 1 year, and for the 6
purpose, stated in the permit.'. 7

delivering it by means of a vehicle to another person, at 24
premises outside the restricted area; and 25
(b) the package or container in which the liquor is to be 26
delivered is labelled in writing on the outside with-- 27
(i) the name and address of each of the consignor and 28
the consignee of the liquor; and 29

(ii) if the consignment of the liquor is for the purpose 1
of sale and the seller of the liquor is not the 2
consignor, the name and address of the seller; and 3
(iii) if the consignment of the liquor is for the purpose 4
of sale and the purchaser of the liquor is not the 5
consignee, the name and address of the purchaser; 6
and 7
(c) the liquor is not removed from the vehicle while the 8
vehicle is in the restricted area; and 9
(d) the liquor is securely stored in-- 10
(i) a locked container fixed to the vehicle; or 11
(ii) a part of the vehicle that is locked; and 12
(e) neither the liquor, nor the package or container 13
mentioned in paragraph (b), is visible from outside the 14
vehicle.'. 15
(3) Section 168B(4), `subsection (3)'-- 16
