(b) another registration certificate for the activity (the new 19
registration certificate) is given to a person other than 20
the existing registered operator. 21
`(2) Unless it is sooner cancelled, suspended or surrendered, the 22
existing registration certificate expires when the new 23
registration certificate takes effect under section 73G. 24
`(3) This section does not apply if section 73HD applies.'. 25

certificate to correct a clerical or formal error if-- 6
(a) the proposed amendment does not adversely affect the 7
interests of the registered operator or anyone else; and 8
(b) written notice of the amendment has been given to the 9
operator. 10
`73HA Amendment by agreement 11
`The administering authority may amend a registration 12
certificate if the registered operator has agreed in writing to 13
the amendment. 14
`73HB Amendment to ensure consistency with code of 15
environmental compliance 16
`The administering authority may amend a registration 17
certificate to ensure the detail on the certificate is consistent 18
with a code of environmental compliance applying to a 19
chapter 4 activity stated in the certificate. 20
`73HC Amendment for registration of new activity 21
`(1) This section applies if-- 22
(a) a registered operator applies for a registration certificate 23
for a new chapter 4 activity; and 24
(b) the administering authority is satisfied-- 25
(i) registration should be granted for the new activity; 26
and 27

(ii) the new activity will be carried out, with the 1
activities under an existing registration certificate 2
held by the operator, as a single integrated 3
operation for section 73F. 4
`(2) The administering authority may, instead of giving the 5
operator a registration certificate for the new chapter 4 6
activity, amend the existing registration certificate to include 7
the activity. 8
`73HD Amendment for removing registration of continuing 9
chapter 4 activity 10
`(1) This section applies if-- 11
(a) a continuing chapter 4 activity and another chapter 4 12
activity are stated in a registration certificate (an 13
existing registration certificate); and 14
(b) the registered operator (the existing registered operator) 15
disposes of the operator's business, or part of the 16
business, to someone else; and 17
(c) another registration certificate for the continuing chapter 18
4 activity-- 19
(i) is given to a person other than the existing 20
registered operator; and 21
(ii) has taken effect under section 73G. 22
`(2) The administering authority may amend the existing 23
registration certificate to remove the continuing chapter 4 24
activity. 25
