An Act to repeal the Education (Consultation on Curriculum) Act 1988,
and for related purposes

Repeal
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with 1
the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in 2
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows. 3

Short
This Act may be cited as the Education (Consultation on 5

Definitions
In this Act-- 8
Clause2.
"Corporation" means the Minister for Education of Queensland, the 9
corporation sole established under the Education (General Provisions) 10
Act 1989. 11
"Council" means the Ministerial Consultative Council on Curriculum 12
established under the Education (Consultation on Curriculum) 13
Act 1988; 14
of property and liabilities of Council to Corporation 15
Transfer
On the commencement of this Act-- 16
Clause3.
(a) all property and liabilities of the Council become the property and 17
liabilities of the Corporation; and 18
(b) a reference in a document to the Council is taken to be a reference 19
to the Corporation; and 20
(c) the Corporation is substituted as a party for the Council in all 21
pending and existing proceedings to which the Council becomes 22
or is a party. 23

Act 1988 continues to apply to the period 1 January 1992 to 31 December 26
1992 even though the Act is repealed by this Act. 27
