1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Electoral (Fraudulent Actions) Amendment 3

This Act amends the Electoral Act 1992. 6
3 Insertion of new s 160A

Part 9, division 1-- 8
insert-- 9
`160A Fraudulently influencing election outcomes 10
`(1) A person must not do an act with intent to fraudulently influence the 11
outcome of an election. 12
Minimum penalty, if subsection (2) applies--3 months imprisonment. 13
Maximum penalty--3 years imprisonment. 14
`(2) Without limiting subsection (1), a person is taken to have done an 15
act with intent to fraudulently influence the outcome of an election if-- 16
(a) the person does an act with intent to have a person, whether the 17
person or someone else, enrolled for an electoral district; and 18
(b) the person doing the act is aware the person to be enrolled is not 19
entitled to be enrolled for the electoral district.'. 20
