Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road
Amendment
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with 1
the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in 2
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows. 3

Short
This Act may be cited as the Carriage of Dangerous Goods by 5
Clause1.

Commencement
Clause2. This Act commences on a day to be fixed by proclamation. 8

The Carriage of Dangerous Goods by Road Act 1984 is amended 10

as set out in this Act. 11
of s.4 (Application of Act) 12

Clause4. Section 4(2)(c)-- 13
omit, insert-- 14
`(c) the transfer, under the Gas Act 1965, of gas (within the meaning 15
of that Act) to or from a road tank vehicle or bulk container; and 16
(d) the carriage by vehicle of packages of liquefied petroleum gas if 17
the aggregate capacity of the packages is not more than 1 000 L 18
and-- 19
(i) no other dangerous goods are being carried by the vehicle at 20
the same time; or 21
(ii) the packages are being carried by-- 22
(A) a primary producer, or a person employed by a primary 23
producer, for use by the primary producer; or 24
(B) a tradesperson, or a person employed by a 25
tradesperson, for the purposes of a trade.'. 26

Clause5. Section 5(1) (definitions "dangerous goods" and "the Code")-- 2
omit, insert-- 3
` "dangerous goods" means-- 4
(a) dangerous goods under the Code; or 5
(b) goods prescribed by regulation to be dangerous goods; 6
but does not include goods prescribed by regulation not to be 7
dangerous goods; 8
"the Code" means the publication prescribed by regulation to be the 9
Code;'. 10
