`717 Effect of repeal of ss 56, 57 and 58 3
`(1) After the commencement of the Criminal Code Amendment 4
Act 2006, a person can not be charged with, prosecuted for or 5
further prosecuted for, or convicted of, an offence against 6
section 56, 57 or 581 or punished for doing or omitting to do 7
an act that constituted that offence. 8
`(2) However, subsection (1) does not prevent a person being 9
punished by the Legislative Assembly for contempt of the 10
Legislative Assembly as defined under the Parliament of 11
Queensland Act 2001.'. 12
