An Act to repeal the Bread Industry Authority Act 1990 and for related
purposes

Bread Industry Authority Repeal
BE IT ENACTED by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with 1
the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland in 2
Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows. 3

This Act may be cited as the Bread Industry Authority Repeal Act 5

Commencement
Clause2. This Act commences on a day to be fixed by proclamation. 8

Repeal
The Bread Industry Authority Act 1990 is repealed. 10
Clause3.
of property and liabilities of Bread Industry Authority to 11
Transfer

Clause4.(1) On the commencement of section 3-- 13
(a) all property and liabilities of the Bread Industry Authority within 14
the meaning of the Bread Industry Authority Act 1990 become 15
property and liabilities of the State; and 16
(b) the State is substituted for the Authority in all contracts to which 17
the Authority is a party; and 18
(c) the State is substituted as a party for the Authority in all pending 19
and existing proceedings to which the Authority becomes or is a 20
party. 21
(2) A person responsible for keeping a register in relation to dealings 22
with property is, on request made by the chief execuitve of the department, 23
to make all endorsements necessary to record the vesting of property in the 24
State under this section. 25
(3) A request made for the purposes of subsection (2) is not liable to 26
stamp duty and no fees or charges are payable in relation to the request. 27

(4) Stamp duty is not otherwise payable because of the operation of this 1
Act. 2

Clause5. This Act expires 1 month after section 3 commences. 4
