An Act authorising the Treasurer to pay amounts from the
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and
parliamentary service for the financial years starting 1 July
2007, 1 July 2009 and 1 July 2010

The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1
1 Short title 2
This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 3
2009. 4
Note-- 5
Under the Financial Accountability Act 2009, section 5, words used in 6
this Act that are defined in the Financial Accountability Act 2009 have 7
the same meaning the words have in that Act, subject to a contrary 8
intention in this Act. 9
2 Appropriation for 20092010 10
(1) The Treasurer is authorised to pay $68 624 000 from the 11
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and 12
parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 13
2009. 14
(2) The amount mentioned in subsection (1)-- 15
(a) is appropriated for the financial year for the Legislative 16
Assembly and parliamentary service to be applied to its 17
departmental services, administered items and equity 18
adjustment as stated in schedule 1; and 19
(b) includes amounts for departmental services, 20
administered items and equity adjustment delivered by 21
the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service in 22
the financial year starting 1 July 2008 but for which it 23
has not been paid in that financial year. 24
(3) The amount mentioned in subsection (1) includes the amount 25
already authorised by the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 26
2008, section 3, to be paid for the financial year starting 1 July 27
2009. 28

3 Supply for 20102011 1
The Treasurer is authorised to pay $34 000 000 from the 2
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and 3
parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 4
2010. 5
4 Supplementary appropriation for 20072008 based on 6
unforeseen expenditure included in the consolidated 7
fund financial report 8
(1) The Treasurer is authorised to pay $1 142 000 from the 9
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and 10
parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 11
2007. 12
(2) The amount mentioned in subsection (1) is appropriated for 13
the financial year for the Legislative Assembly and 14
parliamentary service to be applied to its departmental 15
services, administered items and equity adjustment as stated 16
in schedule 2. 17
5 Repeals 18
The following Acts are repealed-- 19
· Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2006, No. 37 20
· Appropriation (Parliament) Act (No. 2) 2006, No. 50. 21
