An Act authorising the Treasurer to pay amounts from the
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and
parliamentary service for the financial years starting 1 July
2008 and 1 July 2009

The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1
1 Short title 2
This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 3
2008. 4
Note-- 5
Under the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977, section 22, 6
words used in this Act that are defined in the Financial Administration 7
and Audit Act 1977 have the same meaning the words have in that Act, 8
subject to a contrary intention in this Act. 9
2 Appropriation for 20082009 10
(1) The Treasurer is authorised to pay $64 555 000 from the 11
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and 12
parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 13
2008. 14
(2) The amount mentioned in subsection (1)-- 15
(a) is appropriated for the financial year for the Legislative 16
Assembly and parliamentary service for application to 17
its departmental outputs, equity adjustment and 18
administered items as stated in the schedule; and 19
(b) includes amounts for departmental outputs, equity 20
adjustment and administered items delivered by the 21
Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service in the 22
financial year starting 1 July 2007 but for which it has 23
not been paid in that financial year. 24
(3) The amount mentioned in subsection (1) includes the amount 25
already authorised by the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 26
2007, section 3, to be paid for the financial year starting 1 July 27
2008. 28

The Treasurer is authorised to pay $32 000 000 from the 2
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and 3
parliamentary service for the financial year starting 1 July 4
2009. 5

The Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2005, No. 34 is repealed. 7
