An Act authorising the Treasurer to pay amounts from the
consolidated fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary
service for the financial years starting 1 July 2003 and 1 July 2004

The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1
1 Short title 2
This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2003.1 3
2 Appropriation for 20032004 4
(1) The Treasurer is authorised to pay $56 203 000 from the consolidated 5
fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service for the 6
financial year starting 1 July 2003. 7
(2) The amount mentioned in subsection (1)-- 8
(a) is appropriated for the financial year for the Legislative 9
Assembly and parliamentary service for application to its 10
departmental outputs, equity adjustment and administered items 11
as stated in the schedule; and 12
(b) includes amounts for departmental outputs, equity adjustment 13
and administered items delivered by the Legislative Assembly 14
and parliamentary service in the financial year starting 1 July 15
2002 but for which it has not been paid in that financial year. 16
(3) The amount mentioned in subsection (1) includes the amount already 17
authorised by the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2002, section 3, to be 18
paid for the financial year starting 1 July 2003. 19
3 Supply for 20042005 20
The Treasurer is authorised to pay $28 100 000 from the consolidated 21
fund for the Legislative Assembly and parliamentary service for the 22
financial year starting 1 July 2004. 23
4 Repeal 24
The Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2000 (2000 Act No. 30) is repealed. 25
1 Under the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977, section 22, words used in
this Act that are defined in the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977 have the
same meaning the words have in that Act, subject to a contrary intention in this Act.
