An Act authorising the Treasurer to pay certain amounts from the
consolidated fund for services of the Legislative Assembly and the
Parliamentary Service for the financial years starting 1 July 2000
and 1 July 2001

The Parliament of Queensland enacts-- 1

Short
1. This Act may be cited as the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 2000. 3
for 20002001 4
Appropriation
2.(1) The Treasurer is authorised to pay $49 952 000 from the 5
consolidated fund for services of the Legislative Assembly and the 6
Parliamentary Service for the financial year starting 1 July 2000.1 7
(2) The amount mentioned in subsection (1)-- 8
(a) is appropriated for the financial year for the Legislative Assembly 9
and the Parliamentary Service for application to their departmental 10
outputs, equity adjustment and administered items as stated in the 11
schedule; and 12
(b) includes amounts for departmental outputs, equity adjustment and 13
administered items delivered by the Legislative Assembly and the 14
Parliamentary Service in the financial year starting 1 July 1999 15
but for which they have not been paid in that financial year. 16
(3) The amount mentioned in subsection (1) includes the amount already 17
authorised by the Appropriation (Parliament) Act 1999, section 4, to be 18
paid for the financial year starting 1 July 2000. 19

3. The Treasurer is authorised to pay $29 225 000 from the consolidated 21
fund for services of the Legislative Assembly and the Parliamentary Service 22
for the financial year starting 1 July 2001. 23
1 Under the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977, section 22, words used in
this Act that are defined in the Financial Administration and Audit Act 1977 have
the same meaning the words have in that Act, subject to a contrary intention in
this Act.
