LIVESTOCK ACT 2008 (NO 36 OF 2008) - SECT 92

    (1)     The Chief Executive Officer must issue to a person appointed as Chief Inspector or an inspector an identity card specifying the person's name and office and including a recent photograph and the signature of the person.

    (2)     A person must, on ceasing to be the Chief Inspector or an inspector, return the identity card to the Chief Executive Officer.

Fault element:     Strict liability offence.

Maximum penalty:     20 penalty units.

    (3)     It is a defence to a prosecution for an offence against subsection (2) if the defendant establishes a reasonable excuse.
