Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations(1) If a parking infringement (other than a contravention of rule 212 or 213) is committed in a municipality within the meaning of the Local Government Act , a reference in this Division to an officer of the competent authority includes a reference to an officer or employee of the council of the municipality (whether or not the place where the parking infringement was committed is under the care, control or management of the council).
(2) An officer of a competent authority who is performing duties relating to the enforcement of these Regulations regarding the parking or stopping of vehicles may park or stop a vehicle at a place or for a time not otherwise permitted.
