Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations(1) These By-laws apply to and are in force within the whole of the area described in the Schedule to the instrument made under section 128(1) of the Act (for the purpose of extending to the Corporation the functions, by-law making powers and enforcement powers of a municipal council in relation to Animal Control and Animal Impounding) and published in Gazette No. G50 dated 17 December 1997, a copy of which is set out in Schedule 1.
(2) The purpose of these By-laws is to provide for the keeping of animals within the corporation area in a manner compatible with the enjoyment by residents of a congenial living environment.
