Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations(1) Sections 5 and 8 to 13 inclusive shall extend and apply to all vessels so far as those sections relate to:
(a) standards of construction;
(b) requirements for stability;
(c) requirements for machinery, electrical, gas, cargo, refrigeration installations and protection of personnel;
(d) requirements for life-saving appliances;
(e) requirements for fire prevention and detection and for fire fighting equipment and installations;
(f) requirements for radiotelegraphy and radiotelephony equipment and installations;
(g) requirements for passenger accommodation; and
(h) requirements for the miscellaneous equipment necessary for the safety of navigation or for the safety of persons on board.
(2) Subregulation (1) applies to existing fishing vessels less than 15 metres in length and a fishing vessel less than 8 metres in length in respect of which an application for survey has been made to the Director.
