Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations(1) A police officer acting in the course of duty may require a driver to carry the police officer as a passenger.
(2) The driver must comply with the requirement.
(3) A police officer carried as a passenger under this regulation:
(a) is not required to pay a fare or charge for the carriage; and
(b) is not liable to pay any amount for loss or damage occasioned by the carriage that exceeds reasonable compensation.
