Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations Northern Territory Consolidated Regulations(1) Subject to these Regulations, the Building Code, the National Plumbing and Drainage Code as modified in Schedule 5 and the Code of Practice for Small On-site Sewage and Sullage Treatment Systems and the Disposal or Reuse of Sewage Effluent, November 1996, published by Territory Health Services apply to any building that can be classified according to use under Part A3.2 of the Building Code and to any building work referred to in the Act or in the Building Code.
(2) Building work shall conform with these regulations but where the Director is of the opinion that any building work consists only of minor work and does not adversely affect the safety of persons accommodated in or resorting to a building or property in or in the vicinity of a building the Director may determine that these Regulations, or such of the provisions of these Regulations as are specified by the Director, do not or does not apply, as the case requires, in relation to such work and any such determination has effect accordingly.
