Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated ActsWhere a person liable under this Part to make a weekly payment of compensation to a worker fails to make the weekly payment on or before the day on which he or she is required to do so, the worker shall, in respect of that weekly payment, be paid, in addition to any other payment required to be made under this Part, an amount represented by the formula:
A x the prescribed rate of interest x
where:
A is the amount of that weekly payment payable to the worker; and
B is the number of weeks (with a part of a week being counted as a whole week) occurring within the period commencing immediately after the day on which payment of that weekly payment was due and concluding at the end of the day on which payment of that weekly payment is made.
