Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) A person who, immediately before the commencement of this Act, receives on the request of the Commissioner protection and assistance under a witness protection program established under a law of the Commonwealth or a State or another Territory of the Commonwealth becomes, on that commencement, a participant in the TWPP.
(2) A memorandum of understanding in force immediately before the commencement of this Act in respect of a person referred to in subsection (1) continues, with the necessary changes, to have effect, and may be dealt with, after that commencement as if it were a memorandum of understanding entered into under this Act.
