Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated ActsA person shall not interrupt or interfere with, or attempt to interrupt or interfere with, or cause, suffer or permit a person to interrupt or interfere with:
(a) the taking of water;
(b) the discharge or disposal of water or waste; or
(c) the drainage of land,
in pursuance of a licence granted, a power conferred or an arrangement made under this Act, or the performance of an act authorised under section 97.
Penalty: For a first offence – $5,000 or imprisonment for 12 months.
For a subsequent offence – not less than $5,000 or more than $10,000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
