Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) Subject to this Act, the Controller may, of his or her own motion or on application in the prescribed manner and form, grant to a person a permit in the prescribed form to construct or alter a dam, water storage or water control structure referred to in section 40(1).
(2) A permit may be granted under subsection (1) subject to such terms and conditions, if any, as are specified in the permit document.
(3) A permit shall be granted for such period, not exceeding 12 months, as is specified in the permit document.
