Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated ActsWhere a person has claimed damages or other compensation from a registered veterinarian for alleged negligence or other misconduct in the provision of veterinary services, the veterinarian shall, not later than 28 days after:
(a) being ordered by a court to pay damages or compensation in respect of the claim; or
(b) making an agreement to pay an amount of money in settlement of the claim, whether with or without a denial of liability,
inform the Board in writing of the claim and of the terms of the order or agreement.
Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
