Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The purchaser of goods sold under Part 2 acquires good title to the goods, free from any interest that existed in the goods in favour of another person before the goods were sold, if the purchaser buys the goods:
(a) without notice of any failure of the receiver to comply with this Act; and
(b) without notice of any defect or want of title of the provider.
(2) A receiver who disposes of goods by appropriation in accordance with Part 2 acquires good title to the goods.
