Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The operator for a mining site is responsible for the control and management of the site and the mining activities carried out on the site.
(2) The operator for a mining site must take all reasonable and practicable measures to ensure that every person on the site complies with and does not contravene this Act.
Penalty: In the case of a natural person – 1 000 penalty units.
In the case of a body corporate – 5 000 penalty units.
