Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) Where the Director is or is expected to be absent from duty or from the Territory or is, for any reason, unable to perform the duties of his or her office, or there is a vacancy in the office of the Director, the Chairman may appoint a person to act as the Director during the absence or until the vacancy is filled.
(2) A person appointed under subsection (1) to act in the office of the Director, if he or she does not hold a current practising certificate under the Legal Profession Act , shall be deemed to hold such a certificate.
