Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) When the defendant is present at the hearing the substance of the complaint shall be stated to him, and he shall be asked if he has any cause to show why he should not be found guilty or why an order should not be made against him (as the case may be).
(2) If the defendant admits the truth of the complaint, and shows no sufficient cause why he should not be found guilty, or why an order should not be made against him, the Court shall find him guilty or make an order against him accordingly.
