Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The Competent Authority may, in writing, delegate to a person any of his or her powers and functions under this Act or the Regulations, other than this power of delegation.
(2) A delegation under subsection (1) may be made to a named person or to a person from time to time holding, acting in or performing the duties of a named office, designation or position.
(3) A power or function delegated under this section when exercised or performed by the delegate is to be taken to have been exercised or performed by the Competent Authority.
(4) A delegation under this section does not prevent the exercise of a power or performance of a function by the Competent Authority.
