CARE AND PROTECTION OF CHILDREN ACT - SECT 59

    (1)     An authorised officer may restrain the child if the officer reasonably believes it is necessary to do so to prevent the child from:

        (a)     being harmed; or

        (b)     harming others.

    (2)     The officer may do so by using any reasonable force or assistance.
