Northern Territory Consolidated Acts33. Rights and powers of private bailiff
(1) Where a private bailiff is employed under section 30, the fees for service or execution payable under the Local Court Regulations shall not be payable to a Registrar by the person entitled to the issue of the warrant, and the private bailiff shall be entitled only to such amount as is agreed between the private bailiff and the person employing him.
(1A) Where a private bailiff is employed under section 31, the fees payable under the Local Court Regulations shall be paid to a Registrar by the person entitled to the issue of the warrant, and the private bailiff shall, subject to the approval of a Registrar, be entitled to those fees.

(4) A private bailiff is not an employee of the Northern Territory.
(5) A private bailiff is, in the execution of a warrant issued to him under this Act and in respect of any money recovered under such a warrant, subject to the direction of a Registrar.
