Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) Where a reportable death has occurred and the body of a deceased person is in the Territory, the body is under the control of the coroner investigating the death until the coroner or coroner's clerk has issued a certificate permitting its disposal.
(2) Where the Supreme Court makes an order under section 16(3), a coroner or coroner's clerk must not issue a certificate mentioned in subsection (1).
