Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated ActsThe Solicitor for the Northern Territory, the Director of Public Prosecutions, a Justice of the Peace or a police officer, having reasonable cause for so doing, may, by notice in writing affixed to the door of a crematorium and by notice served on the person supervising the operations of the crematorium:
(a) forbid the cremation of the body of a deceased person; and
(b) order the removal of the body to such custody as the person giving the notice sees fit.
