Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) The Minister may, by public notice, if he is satisfied that the prohibition or requirement is necessary for the protection from bushfire of land within a fire protection zone, prohibit or require the doing of an act specified in the notice.
(2) A notice under subsection (1) remains in force for the period specified in the notice.
(3) A person shall not, without reasonable cause, do an act prohibited by or fail to do an act required by a notice under subsection (1).
Penalty: $5 000 or imprisonment for 2 years.
