Where a person employed in the Public Sector, within the meaning of the Public Sector Employment and Management Act , is appointed to be the Auditor-General, he or she shall, while holding that office, retain all rights and privileges accrued or accruing to him or her under the Public Sector Employment and Management Act as if the service as the Auditor-General were a continuation of service as an employee in the Public Sector, and those rights and privileges shall continue to accrue during his or her tenure of office as the Auditor-General as if he or she had remained an employee in the Public Sector.
